An excerpt from Dorothy Sayers collection of essays "Creed or Chaos" :
A very able surgeon put it to me like this: "What is happening," he said, " is that nobody works for the sake of getting the thing done. The actual result of the work is a by-product; the aim of the work is to make money to do something else. Doctors practice medicine, not primarily to relieve suffering, but to make a living -- the cure of the patient is something that happens on the way. Lawyers accept briefs, not because they have a passion for justice, but because the law is the profession which enables them to live. The reason," he added, "why men often find themselves happy and satisfied in the army is that for the first time in their lives they find themselves doing something, not for the sake of the pay, which is miserable, but for the sake of getting the thing done."
The importance of work, of our time, of our talent. We are responsible to God for the talent and time that He has granted us. How shall we use what is not so rightfully ours? Let us work for work.
Colossians 1:10 "And we pray this in order that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and may please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God"
Colossians 3:23 "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men"

Well, everyday AJ and I are more and more blessed. Everything is working out perfectly with the purchase of the house we put a contract on and we are scheduled to close on that deal Aprill 22nd. The day we close AJ is flying down to Jacksonville to get our stuff loaded in the moving truck. Anyone want to help him?!? Then AJ and my dad are driving up to Waldorf, MD in the BIG truck- that'll be a sight to see :)
AJ's job is going so great- we consider it such a blessing and an honor that he is able to work for such an incredible company and cause. We thank God everyday for this oppurtunity. Today was the first day AJ didn't have to wear a suit to work it, was a casual day. But he has decided he actually prefers to wear the suits- who would have ever thought!!! Mr. Jeans, t-shirt and reefs actually enjoys wearing suits these days. I certainly enjoy him wearing his suits- he looks so spiffy and good in them- like he's in the C.I.A. or something fancy like that. We often joke about that together and AJ pretends to talk into his wrist as if he had some secret communicative device there or something.
Yesterday AJ totally blessed me a brought me flowers. THey are so beautiful- kinda hot pink and peach variants. He ad them in his hand for me when he got off the metro. I certainly do have the best husband in the world!!!
Eli is doing great too. This is the first time I can say that I actually feel good since I have pregnant. I was a hard first 5 months but thankfully it has been getting better everyday. I am nearly 26 weeks pregnant now and the end is getting closer everyday. I am so excited for Eli to actually be here!!! AJ and I went garage saling last weekend and bought him a bunch of adorable outfits for under 3$ total. That was a lot of fun. Eli had the hiccups the other morning and he was just bouncing away there inside my belly- it was really funny. His kicks are so strong now that AJ and I can actually see him kick and move when we just look at my belly. It is great that he ig getting so strong and big, afterall that is what he is supposed to do. Sometimes though Eli finds his way up underneath my ribs which feels really weird, I don't like that so much since it makes me feel like I am smooshing him.
AJ just asked me how the chicken is doing and my response was: "frozen," so on that note I better go start making dinner. We are having BBQ chicken with chedder cheese and bacon on top, twice baked potatoes, and green beans- yummmy.
