John 9:3

Jesus said, "You're asking the wrong question. You're looking for someone to blame. There is no such cause-effect here. Look instead for what God can do." (The Message Bible)

Kellie, I've enjoyed following your blog. The things that have happened the last few years of your life have helped me to put my own life into perspective. (My mom, to whom I was very close, just passed away the beginning of Apr.)
Just curious what version of scripture you used? When I looked it up in NKJV it was completely different.
In Christ, -Gail

Agreed. First off, never portray a paraphrase as a qoute. The actual section is "Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him." And the true meaning of the text was that when Jesus's followers made the statement that someone who is suffering from desease or injury must be due to a sin done by them or their parents, Jesus responded that it was not a sin done by them or their parents, but a way for God to show his power either through healing the individual or showing his strenght in the strenght the individual themself shows.

kellie. you are awesome. i love you and cannot wait to see you soon!

Umm...she did put that it was from The Message which we all know is a different interpretation put into present day context. She did NOT pass the paraphrase off as a quote!

I'm not sure how I came accross your site, but I had a few minutes this morning to goof off reading blogs and ended up spending a half hour reading your story. I must have needed to be reminded how short life is and to cherish every moment! Blessings to you and Eli.
