Thank You God
Thank you God for a beautiful child. Thank you for the beautiful gift of watching him sleep so peacefully, so content. Thank you for his hunger for You and the things of Your Kingdom. Thank you that his favorite book over the past year of his life has been 'Thank You God.' Thank you for giving my child a heart that follows hard after You, even from infancy...Thank You God. Thank You that my son rests each night with his earthly daddy's blanket, in his heavenly Father's love. Thank You for the gift this blanket is to Eli, tattered with love. Thank you that his daddy was able to give it to him just days before he went to be with You for eternity. Thank You that his daddy was able to give it to him at all. Thank You for the daily comfort it provides Eli. Thank You for giving Eli a special piece of his daddy he can hold onto forever, and if it be Your will- Thank You that this is something he can pass on to his own child when that time comes. Thank You for the legacy AJ was able to leave in Eli. Thank You for this picture capturing beauty in it's purest form. Thank You God. Thank You for giving Eli his 'guys' (Grover and Big Bird). Thank You for giving him something he can love and care for that is especially is. Thank You for teaching him how to love in this way. Thank You for the roof You've provided over my son's head. Thank You for the clothes You've provided for his back. Thank You for the food that You give so abundantly to fill his tummy so he can continue to grow. Thank You God. Thank You God. Thank You God. This picture, this moment captures so much that I am grateful for. Thank You mostly for the life in this picture. Thank You for my son. Thank You for each moment I have with him for each is a privilege and a gift. Thank You for entrusting me with him. Thank You for the awesome task of being his mom. It is the best job I could ever have. It is the highest calling You could have given me. Thank You God. Thank You for more than just being a mom- Thank You for letting me be Eli's momma. Thank You for letting Eli be my son. Thank You for being a 'Father to the fatherless' and for 'relieving the widow'. Thank You God for all that You are...for hope and a future and for being my friend. Thank You for all the wonders I see...but mostly I thank You...For just loving Eli and me.
Thank You God...
