An excerpt from The Screwtape Letters by C.S. Lewis.

Letters are written from Screwtape, to his nephew Wormwood, giving advice on how to develop as an "angel" of the Devil.

"Our cause is never more in danger than when a human, no longer desiring, but still intending, to do our Enemy's (God's) will, looks round upon a universe from which every trace of Him seems to have vanished, and asks why he has been forsaken, and still obeys."

It encourages me to stay on the path that God has called us to. To push on, even when we don't want to, even when we question God's goodness and His faithfulness. Press on.

I miss him! I was in St. Augustine the other day for a hearing and walked through Flagler College and thought about how he had walked through the same areas. I thought of the impact he had for Christ there and every where he went. God has a good man with him now. And AJ left a part of himself with each person he touched. But he also left us that very special part of himself, Eli. What a blessing it is to see Mr. Eli growing stronger everyday. I know and pray that God will use Eli in amazing ways to honor his Father and his earthly father, AJ. Be blessed Sweetie! May the Lord bless you, Eli, Barb and Carl and keep you safely in the palm of his hand.
