Monday after Eli's doctor appointment his umbilical cord finally fell off. I was excited because now we don't have to fold down his diapers to protect the cord and now he can take real baths instead of sponge baths. He really didn't like sponge baths because he got so cold!!! So today I tried to give him a real bath for the first time and it went great. He really loved it and he almost fell asleep because he was so relaxed. He did great till the end when I drained the water- the he got cold and started crying so I quickly rinsed off the soap in the new fresh water and bathtime was over. Overall it was a success and I think as Eli gets used to it he we really grow to love taking a bath. We had fun today though and he has been so good taking really good naps and playing in his crib and talking to his toys a lot. Well it is time for him to eat- again!
